Hi, we are UVX—a Vancouver company recognized as a Top 5 healthcare company Canada-wide. At UVX, we are on a mission to reduce infection transmission risk in the spaces we gather, starting with healthcare facilities. We are developing the world's first intelligent ceiling-mounted device that kills pathogens in the air and on surfaces within seconds, even when humans are present. This internship is funded by the Government of Canada and work terms are under the Digital Skills for Youth (DS4Y) Program. DS4Y, an initiative from Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED), provides an opportunity for youth to gain valuable training and work experience needed for today’s digital economy.
Our proprietary technology is software-enabled-hardware. The end user will be able to configure the device and obtain valuable data and insights using a software interface. This software interface will be a web application.
As someone who is keen to learn and develop skills in the field, you will work in a fluid and fast-paced environment where creative problem solving is encouraged and expected. At UVX, all ideas are entertained, no matter how trivial or far-fetched.
